Vortexa kickstarted the year with a public appearance at the 12th Annual Argus Crude Summit in Houston, running from the 3rd to 5th February. Held at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, the conference saw over 400 attendees from different facets in the energy industry come together for discussions on IMO 2020, the evolving US refining market, and the dramatic changes in the global crude market that we are seeing today.
In conjunction with Argus Media, Vortexa CEO Fabio Kuhn delivered a breakfast presentation alongside Argus Chief Data Officer, Vlasios Voudouris. The presentation demonstrated how AI and machine learning assist market participants to enhance their crude oil strategy, and showcased how Vortexa Analytics platform can be the key to doing so.
Fabio discussed the recent boom in Corpus Christi’s seaborne crude exports in recent months, with volumes reaching a record high of 1.5mn b/d in January (read more here). Additionally, he touched on the refined products export surge in China following the Coronavirus outbreak and how that is affecting the market.
