High crude prices a double-edged sword for HSFO

High sulphur fuel oil (HSFO) cracks this month are likely to skip its seasonal Q3 rise for the second consecutive year, weighed down by ample supplies and high crude prices. Amid the current weakness in bunker demand, HSFO has found growing demand in two other markets in recent weeks – as secondary feedstocks for refining and in power generation.
