Chaïm is the Growth Lead, based in the London office, responsible for finding and helping clients unlock the potential they can have with Vortexa.

Before joining Vortexa, Chaïm used to work in Amsterdam for several well-known Dutch companies, including Hellorider,  Fietsenwinkel.nl, Virtuagym and Speakap!

Fun Facts: Chaïm has been selling jewellery since he was six years old online via eBay and local markets!

We wanted to find out what Chaïm keeps an eye out for when searching for new hires, how he sums up our company culture and what day-to-day life as the Growth Lead really looks like…

What inspired you to join Vortexa?

First of all, it was the opportunities within the marketing department and Vortexa's vision to make oil and gas trading more transparent. These were the aspects that drew me into having a conversation with Vortexa.

What made me join were the people I had conversations with during the interview process, all of whom were very data-driven, highly motivated, entrepreneurial and outgoing -  especially Fabio, our CEO. I also found myself becoming very inspired as to where the company was heading!

''...Vortexa has the culture of a quintessential high-growth start-up company. We move very quickly,  challenge each other (in a good way), collaborate and above all, have a lot of fun in our work.''

What would you say is the most interesting aspect of your role?

The positive impact marketing has on new clients who are just starting their journey at Vortexa. I see so much unlocked potential of what marketing can achieve in the near and far future and the possibilities to make this a reality are really exciting!

What have been some significant milestone moments for you at Vortexa?

A significant milestone has been connecting the different dots within the marketing and sales divisions and creating a holistic marketing approach. This has surfaced many critical insights and results, which have enabled us to scale faster.

What does day-to-day life look like for you as the Growth Lead?

My day-to-day consists of checking the data every morning and answering key questions. How did we perform? Are we on track? What do we need to change? I have many discussions with my team about what needs to be done and if any help is needed.

I also spend a lot of time talking and collaborating with people within the wider organisation or conducting research on what our clients are thinking and what their current and future needs might be.

I am always thinking about how to get results faster and better by making the client journey optimal for our clients, and for Vortexa.  I enjoy creating new automated processes that enable us to access data even faster and then iterating that process to make further necessary adjustments.

''...What made me join were the people I had conversations with during the interview process, all of whom were very data-driven, highly motivated, entrepreneurial and outgoing -  especially Fabio, our CEO.''

What key qualities do you look for in candidates hoping to join your team?

I am looking for people that demonstrate enthusiasm in their work and an ability to understand the bigger picture of where Vortexa is heading. I believe that go-getters and entrepreneurs are the types of people that fit well within our culture and the kind of individuals we need to further grow Vortexa.

How would you describe the culture at Vortexa?

Vortexa has the culture of a quintessential high-growth start-up company. We move very quickly,  challenge each other (in a good way), collaborate and above all, have a lot of fun in our work. Everything is possible as long as you put your mind to it and can argue (with data) why it needs to be a certain way.

People are highly motivated to get things done. Vortexa has a non-hierarchal culture where you are truly appreciated and listened to!

Describe your working life at Vortexa in three words?

Fun, data-driven and possibilities!
