Analytics Vortexa

IP Week saw exciting event opportunities for Vortexa this year. On Tuesday 25th February we joined Argus Media’s IP Week event at Grosvenor House to deliver interactive demonstrations of our analytics platform, and presented alongside Argus’ own data science team.

On February 26th, Vortexa teamed up with Amazon Web Services to produce an informative networking event, focusing on data science and energy trading. Held at The Ned, London, Mining & Modelling Energy Data saw attendees from a wide range of backgrounds within the industry enjoying presentations from both companies, accompanied by complimentary drinks and canapes.

Vortexa CEO Fabio Kuhn kicked off the afternoon discussing the Fourth, or Technological Industrial  Revolution and how it has impacted the energy and trading industries substantially in the past decade. However, the focus of the day was how both Vortexa and AWS integrate and work cohesively to deliver and display data to customers efficiently, presented by Vortexa’s Head of Market Intelligence & Strategy, Paulo Nery and AWS Global Category Lead, Mohsen Malik.

Kit Burgess, Vortexa Data Scientist, closed out the presentations with a demo of the newly-released Python Software Development Kit, which was built to provide powerful, interactive, programmatic exploration of the world’s waterborne oil movements.

Thank you to everyone who came along, we hope you enjoyed the afternoon as much as we did.
