China’s CNPC ships first gasoline cargo to Americas
A vessel carrying Chinese gasoline is underway in the direction of the Americas, after China’s state-run CNPC recently said that it exported its first gasoline cargo to the region.
CNPC said last week that its 35,000t shipment of gasoline loaded from Qinzhou port on the south coast, destined for the Bahamas in the Caribbean region-a journey that can be expected to take 30-40 days.
The LR1 Overseas Mykonos loaded from the Guangxi Petrochemical terminal at Qinzhou port on 30-31 March and is now heading in the direction of the Americas.
CNPC joins other firms in China who have previously exported finished gasoline and blending components to the US, Mexico and other Latin American destinations, historical Vortexa flows show.
