Greek diesel heads to Argentina
A clean petroleum product cargo – likely diesel -that loaded from Elefsis port in Greece is heading towards a port in Argentina, representing a more atypical voyage.
The vessel Maersk Erik loaded around 30,000t of clean oil products, likely diesel, from the Elpe Elefsis terminal at Elefsis port at the beginning of February, which is connected to Hellenic Petroleum’s 100,000 b/d Elefsis refinery.
The vessel is heading towards Buenos Aires and is due to arrive on 3 March, according to latest Vortexa data.
Argentina has so far this year received clean refined oil product shipments from a range of European and Baltic sources, but less frequently from the Mediterranean region.
