At least one US Gulf coast (PADD 3)-loaded jet fuel/kero cargo is heading to the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) region, against a background of tighter northwest European jet markets.

The long-range (LR1) tanker Puma departed from Houston, Texas at the beginning of March and is currently due to arrive in Amsterdam around 24 March, Vortexa data shows.

Northwest European jet fuel markets are said to be tight, as planned seasonal refinery maintenance constricted Mideast Gulf-loaded flows in recent weeks and the colder-than-average winter in North Asia reduced incentives to supply the wider European region from that region.

Shipments from PADD 3 to Europe are not unusual but come after a muted export flow along the route since the fourth quarter. At least one other US jet fuel cargo is soon expected to depart for the ARA region this month. US-loaded exports also more recently headed elsewhere in Europe, rather than directly to the ARA region.
