A day in the life of Wanying Zhang, Freight Analyst
Ever wondered what a day in the life looks like at Vortexa for a Freight Analyst? We sat down with Wanying to find out what her day-to-day life looks like.

Discover what a typical day looks like for Vortexa product designer Mike Rosado, his role highlights, and his thoughts on company culture.
It is always good to start the day with a coffee, from there there is always something different to do from one day to the next unless I’m working on a longer project. I always tend to have a few different tasks in hand so I don’t just work on one task for a whole day. And in between my tasks across the day there is always some time at lunchtime for a dose of Anime ?
We never stand still - which means I have the chance to work on different features and get challenged to create new designs and better design solutions to improve our platform.
Before Vortexa I worked as a Head of design for a tech start-up, after I left I wanted a less management-involved role so I could continue to improve my product design skills. Having worked in a few different design roles in the past I came to the conclusion that product design is where my true passion lies, and Vortexa allows me to explore that and push the boundaries.
They need to be collaborative, curious, and a bit adventurous.
Everyone is always ready to help when you need it. Everyone wants to grow as a collective
I work mostly with those in Product and the engineers building and developing the platform. In addition, because I am a designer I always get the chance to work with other teams too, like the Marketing and People Team.
