A day in the life of Wanying Zhang, Freight Analyst
Ever wondered what a day in the life looks like at Vortexa for a Freight Analyst? We sat down with Wanying to find out what her day-to-day life looks like.

Discover why Amy Lees returned to Vortexa as Strategic Partnerships Manager and what she enjoys most about being part of the team in this Q&A.
The People! That was the biggest driver in my decision, I love the culture at Vortexa and the people I get to work with. But I also really believe that we are building something that will change (and already is changing) the industry, and I wanted to be a part of that again!
I felt excited, like going back to school after the summer holidays and you get to see all your friends again! I was really ready to see what changes had come in, both for the platform and processes, and to get stuck in. It was nice to already be familiar with the people and the company so there were no nerves coming in!
I love the way everyone works together to solve a problem, we have so many intelligent people but also everyone is very aware of their expertise and when to get help from another colleague/team! This is a company that truly thrives on teamwork!
I would describe the culture as collaborative, everyone works together with a common goal, and we are all trying to build something better by working together! Additionally, innovative, everyone feels empowered to think outside the box when solving problems and all ideas are valued, which has enabled us to build a platform that truly takes the industry to the next level.
Since I have returned I have loved getting to know our partnership ecosystem and understand better how we build our external data pipeline and bringing in new partners to be a part of this. I have also really loved attending industry events and building out a network within the Energy industry, globally.
Innovative, Collaborative and Exciting!
