Chrizanne is an Executive Assistant, based in the London office, responsible for looking after the CEO and the executive team as well as managing the office.

Prior to joining Vortexa, Chrizanne worked at Korn Ferry - a management consultant company, responsible for looking after three consulting partners in their London office.

Fun Fact: Chrizanne loves DIY!

We wanted to find out what inspired Chrizanne to join Vortexa, what key qualities she thinks are needed to succeed, and what she really thinks of our company culture…

What inspired you to join Vortexa?

After doing some research I was intrigued by what Vortexa does! I met with Jessica Irvin (Head of People & Operations) who truly embodied all of Vortexa's core values. I later met with Fabio Kuhn (CEO) who, to this day, is still the same vibrant character as he was during our first meeting; a true visionary with drive and passion for Vortexa and the people who work alongside him.

''...'Friendly' is the most common description shared with me [when discussing our company culture] and it's not difficult to understand why! Everyone is warm, welcoming and sincere.''

What would you say is the most interesting aspect of your role?

The variety in my day-to-day schedule keeps things interesting, as no two days look the same! I also find driving forward many of the internal initiatives particularly engaging.

What have been some significant milestone moments for you at Vortexa?

Shaping the first Executive Assistant role within Vortexa has been a great privilege for me. I am also proud of arranging the first company social we had since the pandemic started, which turned out to be a great success!

What does day-to-day life look like for you as an Executive Assistant?

My role is ever-changing and multifaceted, although I do have a rough framework that dictates my diary. I spend my mornings identifying the most important tasks to complete for the remainder of the day and working week. My top priorities usually include arranging meetings for Fabio, our CEO, planning internal upcoming events and managing travel for colleagues. (These represent just a small handful of the tasks I am responsible for!)

What key qualities are needed to succeed at Vortexa?

Love what you do! One of my favourite quotes sums up how to succeed at Vortexa:

Do it with passion, or not at all” - Rosa Nochette Carey.

How would you describe the culture at Vortexa?

'Friendly' is the most common description shared with me and it's not difficult to understand why! Everyone is warm, welcoming and sincere.

'Team' is another keyword I would associate with our company culture. Everyone plays their part and contributes to creating our wonderful team environment.

Describe your working life at Vortexa in three words?

Exciting, fulfilling and engaging!

Although global middle distillates have led refined product cracks for the last 2.5 months, increased supplies have prompted a downturn in diesel and jet cracks while gasoline cracks take the lead in the refinery margin complex on a global level. Refineries appear now to be shifting towards gasoline production and away from middle distillates. Given the healthy economics, global gasoline supplies are on the rise as seen in the Vortexa export data.
