Chiara is the EMEA Community Manager at Vortexa. She has a passion for events and has almost six years of experience in the events and community industry.

Prior to joining the company, Chiara worked at S&P Global Platts

Fun fact: Chiara loves to travel and explore new places, her latest holiday was to Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.

What does day-to-day life in your role look like?

No two days are the same, which is what I love about my role, it really depends what events are taking place. Most days, I will have some internal meetings to discuss current events/projects and then I will have focused time to work on event planning.

What would you say is the most interesting aspect of your role?

Vortexa is involved with multiple events. As every event is different, it always keeps things interesting and I get to work on a variety of ideas with multiple stakeholders.

What was your path to joining Vortexa?

At university, I studied International Business BA. I’ve had various event/community roles at companies such as ING Group, Thomson Reuters, Refinitiv, LSEG, S&P Global Platts, prior to joining Vortexa in October 2022.

[At Vortexa] You get a real sense of belonging from the moment you join.
What kind of qualities does a person need to have to succeed at Vortexa?

I would say that you need to be a team player, have a willingness to learn and to be open minded.

What do you like about the culture?

I love the culture at Vortexa, it’s so different from the large corporate culture environments which I had experienced at previous companies. You get a real sense of belonging from the moment you join.

Who do you collaborate with?

I collaborate with most of the organisation, but mostly the Marketing, Revenue Operations and Commercial teams.

What are the first three things you do on a Monday morning?

Make a cup of tea, check slack and emails and then create a to do list.

What energises you most about working as a Community Manager at Vortexa?

The best thing about this kind of role is seeing the end result on an event day. Everything always pays off and it’s such a great sense of accomplishment.
