What would you say is the most interesting aspect of your role?
The “use case” for every client I speak with is different, from a hedge fund looking to build a systematic model to a refiner understanding how global diesel flows are changing. My customers allow me to learn something new every engagement.
What have been some significant milestone moments for you at Vortexa?
The obvious, closing my first self generated deal in less than 60 days was a great milestone. The biggest though, would be using my knowledge base of the last 20 years in a completely different way than I ever imagined.
What does day-to-day life look like for you as the Sales Director?
Zoom meeting with the America’s team, quick CNBC update, following Vortexa’s market analysis on slack, in person commercial meetings, lots of coffee, Salesforce updates.
What key qualities make a Sales Director successful?
Identifying your goals & staying the course. Life is going to knock you down enough, try not to knock yourself down.
